The excavation work and construction of the tunnel of the new line 4 of the Company's network of Rio de Janeiro Metro interfered with the foundations of the existing bridge, which, combined with its significant degradation, resulted in its demolition.
The existing bridge was of significant historical value and geometry of the new bridge will respect the architectural characteristics of the previously existing bridge.
